To serve the need for larger
batches of tool steel and sinter metal components Sealed Quench
(Atmosphere) Furnaces have been introduced to our facility.
Details of our facility
are as follows:
Temperature range: 800oC
– 960oC
Suitable for all engineering
steels which harden within this temperature range:
Stainless steels and tool steels
– 01, D3, D6, S1 etc.
All Quenching is in oil
Size Range:
Dimensions possible are 890mm
long x 584mm wide x 457mm high
Max weight: 350Kg
Continuous Mesh Belt
Furnaces
To enable us to process medium,
small and micro components we use SAFED mesh belt conveyer furnace's. In
these furnace's we can both through harden and case harden.
In all circumstances a uniform
consistency is achieved between batches, with none of the ‘masking’
resulting in varying hardness associated with other methods.
Typical components treated on
these lines include:
·Mass produced parts for the automotive
industry
·Screws and other fastenings
·Antifriction bearing components
·Fine blanked parts and deep drawn
components
·Tools such as saw blades, drills and
screwdrivers
A huge variety of small components can be processed in a wide range
of materials. Hardening and case hardening temperatures of up to 900
degrees centigrade can be reached, with a maximum achievable case depth
on case hardened parts of around 0.015".
